Hello Parents!!

Yesterday we had our “family day”! Family day is a day set solely around family (no phones, no office, no talk about work). Lots of playing, reading, making up stories and going out onto fun events.

Talking about fun event, yesterday we went on to the “Hamleys Toy Parade”! Did we have fun? Yes! The weather also helped as it did not rain!!!

The Toy parade takes place in Regents Street – London. Obviously the street is closed to traffic, which allows you to freely walk around. The parade itself was once again great. Lots of the famous characters such as Peppa Pig, PJ Masks, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby-Doo, Mr. Tumble, Ben 10, Wacky Races, Bing and Floppy, Transformers, Sonic, Santa Claus, etc.,. Once the parade was over you could join a queue and meet your favourite character, take photos and receive goody bags/balloons/paper flags… etc.,

My wife and I, once our little boy was asleep, discussed the day and although we had lots of fun, have to say it was way too busy and a little disorganized. This was the second year the parade took place. The first year was much more enjoyable, less crowded and easier to walk around.

Will we return for a third time? At the moment sadly, no. It’s certainly a day to be enjoyed, but unless the event a little better organised, there were too many people, impossible to move and very difficult to see the parade. Our son was on my shoulders and did not mind being a little far from the parade. At the end of the day all he wanted to do is to be with mum, dad and gran. Yes, no matter where you go, all your children wants is your attention/to be surrounded by you!
